Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

We offer three (3) different lengths for piano lessons: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes. The pricing for these different lengths are as follows:

30 Minutes: $40

45 Minutes: $50

60 Minutes: $65

We are very flexible with the frequency of lessons. While most people choose every week, every-other week is acceptable as well. Under special circumstances, once a month is doable, but we require 60-minute lessons for once a month frequency.

We ask that all students practice for AT LEAST 30 minutes a day, excluding weekends. We understand that there is more to life than practicing piano, and we do our best to respect that.

Homework will be assigned each week. For beginning students, homework will consist of repertoire that facilitates learning the basics of piano technique. As a student becomes more advanced, more difficult pieces will be given.  We never expect that difficult pieces will be learned in one week, but do expect that good effort is given to all assignments. Everyone learns in different ways and at a different pace. We aim to make sure nothing is too overwhelming.

We do not have a set style for teaching piano. Because everyone learns differently, we tailor our teaching style to best aid the student in learning to play the piano.

We are available Monday through Friday. We observe all Major US holidays.

If we choose to use books for the teaching process, we will provide them, free of charge.

We strive to maintain an open line of communication with all of our students. The best way to reach us is by phone or text. Feel free to contact us with music questions, lesson questions, and other related inquiries. Since this document is published on-line, we will give you our phone number when we first meet.

We understand that life happens. Missed lessons can be either skipped or made-up. I will do my best to schedule an extra lesson if a lesson is missed. Also, if time permits, a double-lesson is possible the next lesson.

We accept cash, check, debit, and credit. For debit and credit cards, a processing fee of 2.9% will be added to the cost of the lesson. Checks should be made out to “David Marsh” or "Blake Rambo", depending on who your teacher is.

Lessons will be paid on a month-to-month basis. Payment should be received no later than the 15th of the month. Under special circumstances, this can be negotiated.
